The 3A Lexicon — heavy words and light words
We choose Heavy words. Germanic and Old English roots. Concrete. Touchable. We refuse Light words — Latinate, French, abstract, marketing-stained.

Prohibited
If a word lives in a Silicon Valley pitch deck, strike it.
Synergy. Leverage. Disrupt. Game-changing. Empower. Frictionless. User-centric. Seamless. Cutting-edge. Next-generation. Best-in-class. World-class. Solution. Ecosystem. Ideate. Bandwidth. Reach out.
The six settled terms
Six terms. No more. Use them precisely.
Atom. The indivisible unit. A text block, an image, an audio clip, a MIDI line, a prompt. Hashed, provenanced, addressable. The technical primitive.
Snippet. A typed container around an Atom inside a Node. Text, Image, Video, Audio, Custom. The Operator handles Snippets daily.
Node. A coherent assembly of Snippets. A document, an essay, a script, a research file.
Cluster. A thematic grouping of Nodes. Nestable. A Node may belong to multiple Clusters.
Shard. An Operator workspace.
Artefact. A finished, published output that has Returned to the VAULT. Distinct from a Node because its provenance includes a channel and a publish event.
When in doubt: an Atom is the brick, a Snippet is the cut stone, a Node is the wall, a Cluster is the room, a Shard is the building, an Artefact is the building published as a postcard.
The named mechanics
Return. The published-back-to-VAULT loop. 'This essay has Returned.'
Calibration. The override-as-training mechanic. Each override Calibrates ARK.
Bridges. Semantic connections between Nodes. A first-class surface in Deepen. Plural always.
The Watch. ARK reads the world on the Operator's behalf.
Gospel Protocol. The rule that locked Snippet bodies are immutable. Bedrock.
Commission. The handshake where the Operator declares intent and ARK augments. Always shows what the Operator wrote alongside what ARK proposed.
