We Do Not
Hold It.

Your vault lives on your machine. That is not a policy setting, it is the architecture. This page is the plain account of the few things that do leave, and the things that never will.

Where things liveyour machine · our machine
№ 01

The vault

Every atom, node and sealed record you keep. Stored in open formats in a folder you can see, back up, and move.

your machine
№ 02

The reasoning

Questions you put to ARK, the councils it sits, and the answers it proposes. Nothing is sent anywhere to be answered.

your machine
№ 03

The seals

Fingerprints are computed on your machine as the record is made. Publishing a seal shares a fingerprint, never the contents.

Your licence key

If you buy a paid build, we hold the key and the invoice. That is the commercial record and nothing more.

Correspondence

Letters you send to the three desks, kept until the thread is closed or you ask us to delete it.

Waiting-list address

One email address, used once, to tell you the build is ready. Never sold, never mailed for anything else.

what we will not do, at any price

Five Things,
Never.

01We will not train a model on your vault, your questions, or your correspondence.
02We will not sell, rent, or broker any of it, and there is no advertising business here to tempt us.
03We will not hold a silent copy. If you cannot find it in your own folder, it does not exist.
04We will not ship telemetry that reports what you read, ask, or keep.
05We will not lock the corpus into a format only we can open.

A tool that keeps a copy of your thinking is not your tool.

this site

The website holds itself to the same rule.

No analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording, no cookie banner because there are no tracking cookies to consent to. On ship, the two typefaces are served from our own machine rather than a font network, so reading this page tells nobody anything.

what you can ask of us

Ask, and it is done in days.

Tell us to show you every line we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete the lot. There is little to show, which is the point. UK GDPR applies and we answer as the data controller, Third ARK Limited.
